JetBlue, Virgin America and Southwest Airlines are offering awesome deals right now. Though it may take more than a few clicks of the mouse to find them. The LA Times Travel Blog has found a number of $40 tickets online.  Our only problem with these cheap tickets are they are only in California.

It’s a short a sweet deal being offered by Southwest Airlines. The California Dreamin’ special. $44 flights always catch people’s attention and that’s why it caught ours — though it really is $88 if you want to get back.

It’s just low enough to let travelers indulge a little and create a long weekend somewhere else. (And it will need to be a long weekend because you’re not allowed to fly on Friday or Saturday.) The tickets require a 7 day advance purchace and you can’t fly after Nov. 23 — can anyone say “Vegas Baby?”
