Breaking News: Did sleepy pilots hit snooze all the way to Green Bay?
Investigators still haven’t sorted out what really happened.
Pilots denied they both fell asleep and now the argument theory has also faded. So what happened, we’ve been developing our own theory on the Northwest flight last week.
Perhaps, the two pilots were a little hung over and decided to take a quick a nap somewhere over Denver. After all, the flight was cruising along on autopilot, why not set the alarm clock and catch a few Zs before arriving in Minneapolis.
But the pilots overlooked one important factor: Time Zones. So when they plugged their clock into the cigarette lighter plug and set it — including an extra 15 minutes for snooze time. (No one wants to jump up awake and then have to land a jet.)
A well rested pilot is much better pilot than a tired one. And no one was hurt during the flight. We say, people should have just enjoyed the ride.
