See England at 140 mph
The first high-speed train launched Sunday in England, allowing passengers to see the beautiful British landscape at 140 mph, according to the BBC.
The Japanese built train, known as a Javelin, can cut the time of the trip from London to Folkestone in half (from about two hours to just 69 minutes). The other route the trains take is round trip from London to Ashford.
The speedy little cruiser will eventually take on a number of other routes, but right now it’s on a limited run. Each train costs about $10 million.
