catalogimageservletThere may be an app for every thing on the face of the earth, but they can’t do a thing if the battery is dead — and no hipster ever wants to feel disconnected from the outside world. How else will they be able to update their Facebook status?

Brookstone offers an answer for all of your half-charged friends and family members: The 80 hour rechargeable battery. (Though really, it’s not 80 hours, it’s 10 hours of phone talking, 20 hours of video watching or 80 hours of music playing.

It connects to your iPhone, Blackberry and other electronic device simply, is light weight to store easily in your bag and can keep all those apps running long after everyone else’s has died.

The only downside to this device we can find is it can only be used 300 times — and then, apparently, it’s dead. But if you need juice to make that last phone call, the $79.95 price tag will feel like a deal.

Gift rating: Kinda cool.

Good for: People who talk on the phone too much.

Not good for: People who don’t have phones — but who doesn’t have a phone.

Value: $79.95
