HipsterTravelGuide.com has a whole new look for this decade: It’s a new logo.
The logo has been tested in numerous small focus groups (meaning we emailed to a couple of people and asked them what they thought.) Many of the comments were, “yeah, it’s not very good.” “It sucks” “Why would you use that?”
When asked if they would in turn make one, everyone replied “I’m kind of busy.”
So, after running number of algorithms, studying intense business books and sobering up, we came up with this particular winner.
“It’s been really cold in Detroit,” said executive editor Scott Burgess. “What else were we going to do but create a logo?Between vodka gimlets and tatar tots, we managed to get this particular logo done in about six months. If we owned a fry daddy, it would have never been made.”
So enjoy, hate, or feel indifferent — it’s a new year, at least we can do is have a new look.
The original logo was developed by artist Anne Harris Hunter, who spends her winters in Rifle, Colorado, and works with the Midland Arts Company there.
