Ahhh, no.
But now, we’ve come across a very cool travel idea for someone who has endless time and more patience than he even realizes yet: Take public buses from Washington DC to the Antarctica. It’s like the ultimate road trip where you never do the driving.

National Geograhic Blog / Andrew and Julia in DC waiting for the first of many, many buses he's bound to take in his adventure to the South Pole.
Andrew Evans, a contributing editor to the Intelligent Traveler, a National Geographic blog, is heading south, way south on a bus. According to his itinerary, he’ll head to Texas. (Zihuatanejo perchance? That’s where Andy Dufresne crossed.)
From there, Evans will continue south, according to his plans. You can follow instant updates from Evans’ twitter feed Bux2Antarcitca. And you can read his full story at Intelligent Traveler.
Good luck Andrew. Please let us know the best sauce to use during at a penguin BBQ.
