The Bus2Antarctica blogger, Andrew Evans, has crossed a couple of borders and headed into Central America, according to his latest posting on IntelligentTravel, by National Geographic.
You can follow Andrew on Bus2Antarctia on Twitter — though it is difficult to sit there and hope something happens. His most recent post talks about crossing over to Guatemala, but he’s already in El Salvador.
Evans has an interesting goal, to get to the South Pole via public transportation over the open road. Bus riding in Central and South America is a totally different experience than here — and something most Americans try to avoid at all costs.
But it’s a glorious journey and one we’re going to keep following.
