Those of you with wanderlust, yes you know who you are, are already planning their travels for 2010. I am one of them. I’m working on planning my whole year, now. While domestic flights are cheap, today, discounted International fares are nowhere tobe found. Nonetheless, I “am” doing my homework now.
Greece and Turkey have been at the top of my list for several years, but I have yet to make it to either. I hear Spain is just about the most amazing country to visit as well as many friends urging me to go to Italy. I do have ties to Australia and Sweden now, so I expect I will be in both countries this year, but my wanderlust keep diverting my attention to other vacations.
I keep looking at India. Yes, India! Check this out. What an adventure this would be on the luxury train, The Deccan Odyssey. Seven luxurious days through India; the sights, sounds and food would be a once in a lifetime experience. Goa, India is not what you think people. Really, see here.
My favorite travel planning site for those looking for adventure is www.gorptravel.com. You can look at vacations by adventure; backpacking, hiking, ranching, biking, etc. This site just rocks.
The New York Times may also give you some ideas with this article, The 31 Places to go in 2010. I spent a lot of time reading this one, you should too, and start your research now.
I’m hoping travel prices drop so that I can start booking some fabulousness soon. Good luck, and may 2010 take you to amazing places!
