A second major earthquake hit Haiti this morning — measuring between 6.0 and 6.1 on the Richter scale.

According to reports, the quake hit at 6:03 a.m. EST and filled the streets of Port-au-Prince with people screaming in disbelief. Last week, a 7.0 earthquake left the country ravaged, with an estimated 200,000 people killed, 250,000 injured and 1.5 million people homeless.

Meanwhile, millions of dollars continue to pour into the decimated nation — setting records for small donations sent through cell phones subscribers. All told, more than $24 million have been raise through the cell phone campaign.

While there may not have been much left to destroy in the country that has haunted the world with horrific photos from last week’s quake, but the newest quake could hamper rescue efforts currently underway.
