A United Airlines flight en route to Las Vegas made an emergency stop in Denver after a passenger tried to open one of the exit doors.
Drunk as a skunk, according to reports from MSNBC, the man first tried to get into the cockpit but then decided to hop off the plane, which was flying from Washington DC.
However, an alert passenger, most likely using many of the submission techniques first shown on HTG (How to foil a terrorist), subdued the man and held him down while pilots figured out the closest emergency airport.
MSNBC says the man was interviewed Saturday night but police have not charged him just yet. Of course, he could end up in the clink for a while, as opening up the door on a plane might cause the plane to crash — and that is frowned upon by United, the federal government, and most of all, the 100 or so passengers on the plane.
