Wanna’ hang out with the most powerful man in the world? Yeah, there’s an app for that… now.

The White House has revealed it’s an Apple friendly administration.

That’s not to say it won’t take campaign contributions from Microsoft, but this week, if you want to watch the President Obama’s State of the Union speech Wednesday night, you’re going to need an iPhone.

Live video streaming is one of the perks of the new White House app — downloadable on iTunes.

Actually, the app comes with loads of features such quick access to the all of the White House press briefings and releases. There are even “behind the scene” photos available to users. You can also join in on web chats, read the White House blog or watch the Bo take a dump in the back yard of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

For the first Internet president, Obama is certainly taking a bite out of this particular apple.

And coming soon, mobile.whitehouse.gov — for those who don’t have an iPhone.

Check out this video of Robert Gibbs, the White House Press Secretary show off his White House app. And if he wasn’t actually in the White House, he’d be on his iPhone using this app. Swear.
