Not so Super deals in Miami
The Big Game is one week away — and now’s your chance to grab some of the most outrageous travel deals around and by outrageous, we mean, really expensive.
Colts and Saints fans have already made their play for tickets
and accommodations. (Both fan sites have nothing new to offer, as everything is sold out.) But there are still people searching for tickets, check out
We’re not saying they’re good deals or bad deals, we’re just saying they cost a bundle — but if you’ve got four grand in your pocket and want to watch the Super Bowl in the same city its being played (not all of these packages actually come with tickets) then head down to Miami.
The room may cost $1,000 a night — but look at it this way — the sunburn is free.
3 Nights, with tickets, $4,775:
Premiere Sports Travel will provide you with a room at the Hyatt Regency Miami for three nights, a reserved upper deck end zone seat and a round trip shuttle to the big game. Bring three friends and save $1,000 per person —
though four people in the room may get a little cramped.
Total price with four people.$15,180
Of course, for an additional, $17,940 you and your pals can sit down low between the 30 and 50 yard line.
Total price four four with big ticket upgrade: $33,120
Two nights, with tickets, $2,950
Bench Warmer Sports has a few more affordable packages — kind of. First of all, you’re staying the LaQuinta Inn at the Miami Airport. We’ve been to this area, and to call it a little rough, is like calling the Atlantic Ocean a little salty, which is why the Inn provides a transfer from and to the airport — most likely an armed escort.
But, hey, you get an endzone upper deck ticket with your room — as long as you’re not mugged on the way to the game. Your ticket includes an NFL Fan Plazza the day of the big game, and an official program.
Bring three buddies with you and it’s only $2,295 per person. If you want a ride to the game from the hotel, no problem, that’s $100 (per person) or you could park yourself at the price of $150 (per
person).
Of course, there are upgrades available when it comes to tickets — club seats between the 15 and 50 yard line are going for $4,495 each. Toss in four $3,500 tickets for the Playboy Party the La Quinta has available and you’re talking a total package (room for four, parking, best available tickets and time hanging out with Heff) of $41,760. But hey, you’ll get a free program.
Oh, we could go on — showing how the stadium won’t allow RVs so fans with tickets can’t just rent an RV and camp out — or tailgate in style for that matter.
Hey, if you’ve never been to a Super Bowl, it’s a once in a lifetime experience.
Then again, for that kind of money, it just might be worth it to go to Vegas — and see if you can win your money back.
