Finally, an airline HTG can get on board with. The premier Openskies Airlines, which debuts its DC to Paris flight in June.
The new airline features Business Class all the way to the back of the plane. The only real downside to this is that you don’t get to board first, sip a bloody Mary and look down upon the unwashed masses cramming into the back of the plane.
On Wednesday, the folks at Openskies offered the media an inside look at the menu those lucky travelers will get to experience once the planes start taking off. While we were unable to attend the event (we were in LA working on our day job), we did get some of the inside info on the culinary delights awaiting passengers.
Even your typical business class flights don’t include onion low-carb-on-ara that cooks onions with
bacon, cream and pareasan cheese to create a faux pasta without the calories.Or the crunchy fried chicken bites with a unique mustard sauce, or any of the confectionary delights knows as the Chocolate bar with layers of rich chocolate and ganache with a hazelnut sauce.
Michel Richard, world-renowned chef and owner of Michel Richard Citronelle and 2008 James Beard Award Winner for Best New Restaurant, created the menu for Openskies.
Said Chef Michel Richard in the release sent to us, “We are proud to create an exclusive menu for OpenSkies’ passengers, and are pleased to provide a fresh and sophisticated cuisine on flights traveling between Washington, D.C. and Paris.”
Spawned from British Airways, Openskies Airlines is has been operating flights from New York to Amsterdam and New York to Paris with all of the stoic charm any flight British Airways could provide — though we imagine the staff have better teeth.
