US government hates Spirit too, says world should join HTG boycott

Start charging people $45 to carry their own luggage onto an airplane and you just might catch the ire of the federal government.

Elliott.org (created by the same man who was threatened by the Transportation Security Administration recently because of his panty bomber stories and subsequent security changes) had an exclusive interview with Department of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.

LaHood blasts Evil Spirit calling the airline and its leadership a bunch of insensitive douches.

“I don’t think they care about their customers,” he told Elliott.org.

“I think it’s ridiculous.” Ray LaHood

He also said the DOT won’t stop until it figures out a way to prevent these kind of charges in the future from other airlines: “… we’re gonna hold the airline’s feet to the fire on this. Because we have an obligation to do it and we have the ability to do it.

“I think it’s a bit outrageous that an airline is going to charge someone to carry on a bag and put it in the overhead. And I’ve told our people to try and figure out a way to mitigate that. I think it’s ridiculous.”

The entire interview is a fascinating read so take your time and read through it. Thanks to Elliot.org.
