Southwest Airlines will begin flying to Panama City, Florida, from Baltimore — or in airplane 
talk: It’s BMI to ECP.
Throughout the weekend, Southwest intends to decorate much of the Baltimore / Washington International Airport like a beach scene.
Meanwhile, the recently completed Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport has more realistic beach scenes — down there, everyone calls it the outside.
Now on Monday, Southwest will be handing out 200 beach bags filled with good from Panama City businesses. Also, six of the bags will include two round trip tickets on Southwest and free hotel accommodations in Panama City.
While the good people of Balitmore can now fly on down to Panama City, the better news for Panama City — home of the wet cracker — is they now have more places to escape to. Southwest has added flights to Nashville, Houston and Orlando. Sometimes, you’ve just gotta get away.
