It’s hard to fly your planes when all of your pilots walk off the job, which is exactly what happened earlier today. The 450 Spirit pilots, who resented paying extra to store their carry on luggage in overhead bins and not being paid much to fly the planes, went on strike.
Now if you were foolish enough not to join our boycott and find yourself stranded today, you can go to Spirit’s website to see how you may eventually get home — but good luck with that. Spirit is also giving everyone who is on a canceled flight a $100 voucher for future flight — which, technically could be as many as 14 $7 flights — though they really cost much more.
