How the World Cup can win you an iPhone 4 or iPad — USA! USA!

We’re getting tired of listening to people slag the World Cup. And by people, we mean Americans.

Today’s joke seems to be how little Americans care about the World Cup — because that’s just not true. The World Cup serves as the great game everyone can play, watch and enjoy — better yet, it’s a way to get into arguments with strangers at bars and have a hint of superiority — kind of like knowing the Stanley Cup finalists or who the best Cricket player is.

Of course, if you need some sort of inspiration, how ’bout free stuff?

The software company, Wondershare, which does something with computers, we think, has a contest that kicks off today — June 18. If you can name the top three finishers at this year’s World Cup, you might win an iPhone 4 — obviously, some rules apply and you’re probably not going to win an iPhone. (This does mean you’re going to have to wait three more weeks to see who actually are the finalists.)

Also, you can upload your World Cup photos and videos to Wondershare’s Facebook page and you might win an iPad. Hey, everyone wants people to become a fan of a their facebook page. (Go to ours by clicking here.)

Free shit — yeah, that’s how you get Americans involved.
