Now we like saving money. If something is cheaper and more convienent, then, really, you should
consider doing it, even if it’s outside your comfort zone.
UPS, those men in brown, has developed an idea that could save you a few dollars, as well as make any trip a little easier, though you will look a little goofy at the UPS store.
We started looking into this because this fall, we’re taking a trip to New Jersey and the car we’ll be using doesn’t have any trunk space — and we need at least one set of fancy clothes so we’re opting to mail our clothes ahead of time and then just them up at the hotel. (It’s my High School reunion.)
This means on the day of the trip, we’ll just board the plane with a small computer bag, a fresh set of drawers and socks and be on our way. Yes, there’s always a chance something doesn’t get delivered — but sometimes you have to put a little faith in the system. Plus, there will be no bag lugging or checking
Now if you’re not sure if the UPS system is for you, you can always go and check FareCompare.com’s chart ‘o money and see how much an airline will gouge you for checking a piece of luggage.
Of course, no one mentions the fact, you can actually reuse the ultra cool cardboard suitcase — and take it with out future trips — just hope it doesn’t rain.
