AirTran, that little airline, has a big sale going on right now: $44 tickets around the country and the Caribbean. (Of course, these are one way prices and there are bound to be additional taxes, fees and surcharges, so expect to pay around $100 for a round trip ticket.)
SmarterTraveler was able to find a number of tickets at relatively low prices such as $198 for a ticket from New York City to New Orleans and a $258 for flights from Atlanta to San Francisco.
The big Air Tran sale ends Thursday.
